I always enjoy anything that stimulates creative thinking, so one of my favorite pastimes is solving puzzles. I thought that for the weekend we might have a little fun in creative thinking. This is one of my favorite puzzles. It requires some extensive logical thinking.
You enter a room. In the center of the room is a table. On the table there are ten boxes labled 1 to 10. Another thing on the table is a digital scale. There is a note on the table, it says " I give up!" I can't figure this out. If you find this note then maybe you can find the answer to the problem. Inside each box there are 10 marbles, they all look the same, the marbles weigh exactly 1 gram each, except for 1 of the boxes. The marbles in one of the boxes all weigh exactly 1.1 grams each. There is just one problem, which of the boxes has the heavy marbles. You may think I'll just put the boxes on the scale one at a time and the box with the heavy marbles will be easy to find. There is one problem, the scale can only be used once and after that it will no longer function. You may remove marbles from the boxes if you want, but remember, be careful because you must find which box contains the heavy marbles by only making ONE weighing, and no more.
You may leave your answer in the comments. I have something for the person who solves this first. OK, there you have it. Enjoy your weekend and have fun, Monday we start anaylizing disabilities, and see how well we can come up with some solutions that will help us to be able to work around them.
By for now, enjoy.

What's the answer?
I thought I'd let it run through labor day to give someone a chance to solve it. I will post the answer on Tuesday the 5th.
The answer to the puzzle!
Take 1 marble from box 1
Take 2 from box 2
Take 3 from box 3
continue the process of taking out the number of marbles that the box is numbered until you end with box 10.
You should have 55 marbles in all.
Weigh all 55 at once.
If all the marbles had weighed 1 gm, then the total weight would weigh 55 g.
All you need to do is look at what comes after the decimal point and note the number.
Ie, if you read 55.6 g then the box with the heavy marbles is box 6. I hope you enjoyed the puzzle.
More to come!
Ahhhhh
