Most people will agree with the adage experience is the best teacher. However, Will Rogers' quotes: "The trouble with using experience as your guide is that sometimes the final exam comes first, then the lesson.".There is wisdom in what Will Rogers states. The truth of the matter is that Experience is NOT the best teacher! Thus, the theme of my Blog, “Doing It Right The First Time”! Now I don’t mean to imply that you will never make mistakes again, we all will, no matter how hard we try. The point is that there are PLENTY of people out there who have already learned the “Hard Way”; it’s just that you probably don’t know them. "Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it."Santayana
For instance, when we embark on a new project, do we “educate” ourselves about the subject BEFORE we jump in, or do we repeat the mistakes of history? There is no reason, especially today, to not be able to find the information that may save us valuable time, cost, and effort. Consider this. You think you have a lightning strike of an idea! You have a design in your head that you feel will yield more energy out than what was put into the device. Go ahead and build it and test it, do anything you want. What’s the result? I think you know. Just go to any search engine, like Google, and search “perpetual motion machine”. You will get thousands of pages of information and even forums where you may share your idea with other enthusiasts. The point is, it is possible to do it right the first time, rather than wasting time in fruitless endeavors. I think we all get the point. I hope to provide some valuable insights in the coming months, on different subjects. I DO NOT claim to be an expert in all the things we will discuss, but just a helpful guide. Feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank’s for your attention, have a great day.
